Display specialists give growers a boost
Two of the UK’s leading garden centre display manufacturers have joined forces to create a ‘plantarea’ at this year’s Glee exhibition in the hope of encouraging more growers to the event – scheduled for September 19 – 21, NEC, Birmingham.
Stagecraft Display Ltd will be providing their share of display stands to create a retail ‘plantarea’, which will then be hired out to growers wanting to display their plants at Glee.
With the two companies taking on the cost of supplying the display equipment, the initiative will showcase the best of indoor and outdoor plants from UK growers and hopefully encourage growers, particular small independents, back to Glee.
Tom Davis, Managing Director of Stagecraft said: “We are hoping this will encourage more plant growers and nurseries to the exhibition. In the early days Glee was very much focussed on the growers but there is a perception that the nursery section has been getting smaller.”
The two companies have been asked to supply a range of equipment, including rectangular tables, half octagonal shrub tables, hexagonal tables, trellis panels and tiered display units.
