Stagecraft invests £100,000 in new plant and machinery

We have recently completed a further £100,000 investment at our Mid-Wales factory. Earlier this year we completed ‘phase one’ of the project and have now purchased an overhead profile router for our joinery workshop.

Managing Director Tom Davis said: “This new machine cuts out shapes more quickly and accurately and will enable us to be much more competitive and thus provide improvements in quality and value for our customers.”

This follows on from a major overhaul of the factory earlier in the year as we continue to improve our service to customers.

As a leading garden design and shopfit business, Stagecraft is enjoying increased demand from clients, including Notcutts and The Garden Centre Group.

Tom said:” We felt it was important to carry out a complete revamp of both our carpentry and spray shop areas within the factory, as we continue to support customers.”

As opposed to high street retailers, garden centres appear to be bucking the trend during this economic downturn but they must understand that they have to be at the top of their game with their offer and their shop fitting displays to maintain sales.”

Stagecraft employs 30 people at its factory in Powys.
