
Business Development/Sales Executive – (Retail Display Industry)
Stagecraft Display Ltd – Newtown, Wales.
Stagecraft Display Ltd are a leading design and manufacturer of retail displays for the garden centre industry and expanding their services to a wider retail market.
The ideal candidate will have experience and contacts within the retail industry, a good understanding of retail display needs with and a proven track record for obtaining and managing new customers, negotiating, facilitating customer orders and meeting sales goals.
The ability to work as part of a dynamic, forward thinking team is essential and being competent to oversee projects through from customer enquiry through to installation stages is of high importance.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Retail display products and industry trends
- Experience in the process of design and development of creative manufactured solutions
- Understanding of the customer decision-making process and the ability to articulate a value proposition to increase growth/new business wins.
- Experience of selling products or services to independent and chain store retailers, brands, B2B service providers.
- A working knowledge of retail display products and materials (timber, mixed materials and metal product manufacturing would be an advantage)
- Experience of working with CRM software
- Excellent time management for planning, maintaining records and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements to create design briefs for in-house designers to work to.
- Experience of surveying sites (creating floor plan with accurate measurements)
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals
Essential Experience and Skills
- Experience of working in sales/customer account management
- Driving Licence
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- IT literate (Microsoft office, CRM, Social Media etc)
- B2B field sales experience.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to make and increase sales.
- Identify prospective customers and generate new leads
- Network effectively with new potential customers to develop relationships and business opportunities, through securing meetings with key stakeholders and decision-makers within identified target customers.
- Conduct research to identify new markets, new products, customer needs and business opportunities, in order to reach new markets and maintain business activity throughout the year.
- Sales forecasting in order to overcome the issue of seasonality by organising workflow to prevent gaps in manufacturing.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
- Carry out site surveying and measuring (creating floor plan with accurate measurements)
- Attend trade exhibitions to generate new sales leads and follow up where appropriate.
- Make presentations to clients both new and existing to maximise commercial potential.
- Negotiate prices, quantities and delivery schedules and manage customer expectations
Job Classification: Full-time ,
Location: Head Office (Newtown, Powys, SY16 1DZ)
Salary: Competitive salary dependent on skills and experience
Work Schedule: 8-5pm Monday – Thursday, 8-1pm Friday (39 Hours a week)
Holidays: 28 Days

FACTORY OPERATIVE
We are looking to recruit additional Factory Operatives at our factory in Newtown, Powys to assist with our manufacturing timber-based products including Retail Display equipment, Timber Frame Panels for the housing industry and Modular Buildings.
Essential skills include –
- Manual dexterity
- Working with tools and power tools
- Working to deadlines
- The ability to follow instructions
- Working alone or as part of a team
- Good verbal communication.
Experience within a manufacturing environment and carpentry experience would be beneficial along with knowledge of H&S.
The position is initially temporary but could lead to a full-time position based on the workload and candidate’s suitability.
Work Schedule: 6:45am-5pm Monday – Thursday (39 Hours a week)
