We have recently completed a bespoke retail display design, manufacture and installation project at the majestic Leonardslee Gardens. Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens, is celebrated as ‘The Finest Woodland Gardens in England.’
After being closed for nine years, this historic 240-acre estate has undergone an extraordinary restoration, reviving its majestic beauty and rich heritage.
Now reopened to the public, Leonardslee features stunning lakes and gardens, an on-site hotel in the Grade 1-listed manorhouse, a Michelin-starred restaurant, seasonal events, and a brand-new retail area where our bespoke displays have contributed to creating a welcoming and inspiring shopping experience.

How did you hear about Stagecraft Display?
“When planning the brand new Garden Shop at Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens the company name Stagecraft was dropped a few times in multiple conversations, It was clear after looking through their case studies and receiving all the initial information from Ray that they were the ones I needed to go to for the bespoke design of the units for the new shop fit out”
How did you find Stagecraft’s bespoke design and retail display shop fit service?
“Every step of the design process was conducted over frequent Teams calls and I found them to be extremely patient with the daily changes that occurred as the build happened”
What was your inspiration for the retail area, colour pallet and style?
“The concept I had in mind for the new Garden Shop area was to give the visitor a feeling of wanting to explore more.
I wanted to create a journey of moving through different areas with the use of displays changing in design and colour as the visitor was browsing.
As we are primarily a tourist attraction Garden Shop, I didn’t want that classic retail shop fit look, Stagecraft understood the brief and made our concept a reality!”
What is your favourite display stand that stagecraft has supplied?
“My favourite display stands are the huge Three Tier Display Tables which we have in a couple of different colours, they are solid and have a lot of space to display”
“They enable us to put out a lot of stock and repeat lines underneath so not too much going into the back of the stockroom and hidden. The team then just fill the tops of the tables daily from the stock underneath”
What do you think about the quality of stagecraft’s products and services?
“The quality of the units and pieces created by Stagecraft are exceptional. They are heavy and solid and make beautiful statement pieces”
Would you recommend stagecraft to other retailers looking for a bespoke retail display?
“I would absolutely recommend Stagecraft to other retailers, We were on such a tight schedule and it all worked out perfectly in the end”
What’s your merchandising top tip?
“My absolute top tip for merchandising is move product often. Even if it is as basic as clearing the entire table and cleaning down the surfaces and totally re-merching the product. It will look fresh and new to everyone even though you haven’t bought anything new”
